Stage 1 – Consultation Phase

At least 7 months prior to your Wedding, your consultation appointment with Tracy will enable you to share your initial ideas, photos, sketches and discuss your time frame.

Stage 2 – Concept Phase

Approximately 4 weeks after your initial consultation, you will meet with Tracy to view her design sketch based on your previous discussion. Should you wish to continue on your couture journey, you will be able to enhance sketch details, review and select material and discuss cost estimate. Measurements are taken at this meeting.

Stage 3 – Design and Fittings Phase

During this phase, 4 to 5 fittings will required, approximately monthly, to finalise the fit of your couture gown. During these fittings, a calico pattern is moulded to your shape to confirm the line of your chosen design, prior to cutting and fitting your selected fabrics. Various other details, including length, neckline, ruching and beadwork, are also agreed.

Stage 4 – Final fitting

A minimum 3 weeks before your wedding, you will be asked to meet with Tracy and her team again. Your near complete dress is fitted, any minor adjustments are made, length is confirmed, and dress closure (zip, button or lacing) is agreed.

Stage 5 – Collection of Gown

Akina Bridal Couture recommends collection of your complete couture bridal gown, three to seven days prior to your Wedding Day.
